In January 2017, St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School in Pittsworth took the school holiday opportunity to upgrade their classroom technology.
St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School was one of the very first schools on the Darling Downs to have the latest Epson 1450Ui Ultra Short Throw Projectors installed. This latest Epson interactive technology was only made available in Australia from January 2017.
Epson continues to build their highly advanced range of interactive projectors offering new features and enhanced capabilities for the classroom. The popularity and high demand of the new Epson range is a testimony to their projectors sophistication and ergonomic design.
The 1450Ui Ultra Short Throw Projectors features increased energy efficiency and longer lamp hours in eco mode. The ultra short distance throw prevents glare and shadows on the whiteboard, while the significantly brighter 3500 lumens display and increased luminosity for brighter whites and colours makes the projection even easier to see during daylight.
The School’s years 1 to 6 classrooms now have the Ultra Short Throw Projectors installed and mounted over a high quality 3 metre projection whiteboards with Kramer wall speakers for audio playback. Teachers find the system easy to operate via the Kramer wall controller with multiple options for inputs such as HDMI, VGA, 3.5mm audio and USB.
For the Prep classroom, an interactive smart TV and an audio speaker system were installed. Teachers also have access to a wireless digital microphone system and head worn microphones making it easy for their students to hear clearly in a very active classroom environment.
St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School has been serving the families of Pittsworth for just on 100 years with a current enrolment of approximately 130 students across seven classrooms.
